DTC 06

1. Check connections of electrical connectors for throttle sensor, repairing or replacing as necessary.
2. If connections are satisfactory, check resistance of throttle sensor. Refer to ``Component Testing.''
3. If resistance is not within specifications, replace throttle sensor.
4. If resistance is within specifications, check voltage at ``V5'' terminal of throttle sensor connector.
5. If voltage is not 4.5-5.5 volts, there is an open or short circuit in wiring harness from ``V5'' terminal of throttle sensor to EGI control unit or EGI control unit is defective.
6. If voltage is 4.5-5.5 volts, measure voltage at ``2G'' terminal of EGI control unit.
7. If voltage is greater than 4.5 volts, check for open circuit in wiring harness from ``A'' terminal of throttle sensor to EGI control unit or open circuit in wiring harness of ground.
8. If voltage is less than .4 volts, check for short circuit in wiring harness from ``A'' terminal of throttle sensor to EGI control unit.
9. If voltage is .4-4.5 volts, EGI control unit is defective.
