DTC 02

1. Check electrical connectors of air flow meter, repairing or replacing as necessary.
2. If connections are satisfactory, check resistances of air flow meter. Refer to ``Component Testing.''
3. If resistances are not within specifications, replace air flow meter.
4. If resistances are within specifications, check for battery voltage at ``VB'' terminal of air flow meter connector.
5. If battery voltage is not available, check for open or short circuit in wiring harness.
6. If battery voltage is available, measure voltage at ``2B'' terminal of EGI control unit.
7. If there is no voltage, check for open or short circuit in wiring harness from ``Vc'' terminal of air flow meter to ``2B'' terminal of EGI control unit.
8. If voltage is approximately 12 volts, check for open circuit in wiring harness from ``E2'' terminal of air flow meter to EGI control unit.
9. If voltage is 6-10 volts, check voltage at ``2E'' terminal of EGI control unit.
10. If voltage is not .7-2.7 volts, check for open or short circuit in wiring harness from ``Vs'' terminal of air flow meter to EGI control unit.
11. If voltage is .7---2.7 volts, EGI control unit is defective.
