Front Seat Cushion Trim Removal/Installation

FRONT SEAT CUSHION TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

WARNING:
- Handling the front seats improperly can accidentally deploy the side air bag, which may seriously injure you. Read air bag system service warnings and cautions before handling the front seats. (See Air Bag System Service Warnings) (See Air Bag System Service Cautions)

CAUTION:
- After removing a front seat, do not operate the slider lever. If the slider lever is operated, the left and right slide positions will deviate, and the slide adjuster may be damaged after the front seat is installed.
- Verify that there are no malfunctions in the sliding mechanism after installing a front seat.
- When performing the procedure with a front seat removed from the vehicle, perform the procedure on a clean rag so as not to damage or soil the seat.

1. Switch the ignition to off.

2. Remove the battery cover. Removal and Replacement

3. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait 1 min or more.

4. Remove the following parts:
a. Front seat Front Seat Removal/Installation

b. Front seat side cover Front Seat Side Cover Removal/Installation

c. Front seat front cover Front Seat Front Cover Removal/Installation

5. Cut the band securing the seat warmer module (Vehicles with seat warmer), side air bag and lumber support (Vehicles with power lumber support) wiring harness.

6. Disconnect the seat warmer (Vehicles with seat warmer), side air bag and lumber support (Vehicles with power lumber support) connector.

7. Remove the nuts (Power seat, Driver-side manual seat), remove the screw (Passenger-side manual seat) remove the seat under bracket and the seat under bracket cover.











8. Remove the bolts then remove the front seat cushion component.






9. Detach hook A.(Driver-side only)






10. Detach hook B and C in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure.






11. Detach hook D in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure then remove the front seat cushion trim and front seat cushion pad as a single unit from the front seat cushion frame.






12. Remove rings C in the order of (1), (2), and (3) as shown in the figure, then remove the seat cushion trim from the seat cushion pad in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure.






13. Install in the reverse order of removal.
