Oil Pick Up/Strainer: Service and Repair

OIL PUMP SCREEN AND PICKUP TUBE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - 2.5L

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. See Lifting.

2. Remove the oil pan. See - [1][2]Diagrams and - Service and Repair.

NOTE:Discard the gasket and clean and inspect the gasket mating surfaces.
3. Remove the 2 bolts and oil pump screen cover and tube.

- To install, tighten to 10 Nm {1.0 kgf-m, 89 in-lbf}.

4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
