SEAT: REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY: DISASSEMBLY

CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

NOTICE:
* Under either of the following conditions, perform initialization (initial position memorization) of the fold seat control ECU Rear Power Seat Control System.
* The fold seat control ECU is replaced with a new one.
* Initialization (initial position reset) of the fold seat control ECU is performed.
* Under any of the following conditions, perform initialization (initial position reset and initial position memorization) of the fold seat control ECU Rear Power Seat Control System.
* The fold seat control ECU is exchanged with one from another vehicle.
* The seatback frame and seat leg are inspected.
* The seat is disassembled and the positions of the seatback and seat cushion change with respect to one another.
* The seatback frame or seat leg is replaced.
* The cable is disconnected from the battery while the seatback or seat cushion is operating.

HINT
* Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
* The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

1. REMOVE CAP

(a) Remove the 2 caps.

2. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOWER HINGE COVER LH

(a) Remove the 2 screws.

(b) Detach the 3 claws and remove the cover.

3. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOWER HINGE COVER RH

(a) Remove the 2 screws.

(b) Detach the 2 claws and guide and remove the cover.

4. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH Removal

5. REMOVE REAR SEAT NO. 1 CUSHION MOULDING

(a) Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.

(b) Detach the 2 claws and 4 guides and remove the moulding.

6. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

(a) Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.

(b) Open the 2 fasteners.

(d) Detach the 2 hooks and remove the seat cushion cover with pad.

7. REMOVE NO. 3 SEAT CUSHION COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Detach the fastener.

(b) Remove the hog rings and seat cushion cover.

8. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION INNER EDGE PROTECTOR LH

(a) Cut off the tack pins and remove the protector from the cushion pad.

9. REMOVE FOLD SEAT CONTROL ECU

(a) Using a clip remover, remove the clip.

(b) Disconnect the 2 connectors.

(b) Detach the 2 claws and remove the moulding.

11. REMOVE REAR SEAT NO. 3 LEG COVER LH

(a) Detach the 2 claws and remove the cover.

12. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION INNER HINGE COVER LH

(a) Remove the screw and clip.

(b) Detach the guide and remove the cover.

14. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and open the cover.

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(b) Remove the bolt and rope hook.

15. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Detach the 7 clips and remove the board.

16. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK LOCK HOOK

(a) Remove the lock hook.

17. REMOVE REAR SEAT NO. 1 COVER BEZEL

(a) Remove the 2 screws.

(b) Detach the guide and remove the bezel.

(a) Remove the hog ring and detach the hooks.

(b) Detach the 8 clips and remove the seatback cover with pad.

19. REMOVE NO. 3 SEATBACK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the hog rings and seatback cover.

20. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEATBACK EDGE PROTECTOR

(a) Cut off the tack pins and remove the protector from the seatback pad.

(a) Detach the 2 claws and remove the cover.

22. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST COVER

(a) Remove the 2 screws.

(b) Detach the 2 claws and guide and remove the cover.

(a) Detach the 2 clamps.

(b) Twist the 2 cable ends in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove the cable.

24. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 3 nuts and headrest.

25. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK EDGE PROTECTOR

(a) Detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 protectors.

26. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 SEAT INNER RECLINING COVER LH

(a) Detach the 4 claws and remove the cover.

27. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 SEAT OUTER RECLINING COVER LH

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Detach the guide and 2 claws and remove the cover.

28. REMOVE NO. 2 SEAT CUSHION FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the wire harness.

(b) Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, loosen the 4 "TORX" bolts.

(c) Using a screwdriver, release the lock lever as shown in the illustration.

(d) Retract the seat cushion frame.

(e) Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 4 "TORX" bolts and seat cushion frame.

29. REMOVE REAR SEAT LEG COVER LH

(a) Using a clip remover, remove the clip.

(b) Detach the 3 hooks and 5 clips and remove the cover.

30. REMOVE 3RD SEAT LINK SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Using a clip remover, remove the 3 clips.

(b) Detach the 2 claws and 4 guides and remove the 3rd seat link.

(a) Detach the 2 clamps.

36. REMOVE REAR SEAT LOCK CONTROL CABLE RH (for RH Side)

(a) Detach the 5 clamps.

(b) Twist the 2 cable ends in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove the cable.

37. REMOVE NO. 3 SEATBACK FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Using a T45 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 4 "TORX" bolts and frame.

38. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT WIRE LH

(a) Using a clip remover, remove the clip and seat cushion under carpet LH from the No. 3 seat leg.

(b) for RH Side:

Using a clip remover, remove the clip and seat cushion under carpet RH from the No. 2 seat leg.

(c) Disconnect the 2 connectors.

(d) Detach the wire harness clamps and remove the seat wire.
