Removal

P310 HYBRID TRANSMISSION / TRANSAXLE: SHIFT LEVER:

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait for at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment.
NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

2. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB






(a) Remove the shift lever knob.
3. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL UPPER FRONT Removal

4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LOWER Removal

5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Removal

6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH Removal

7. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH Removal

8. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Removal

9. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER Removal

10. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY NO.2 Removal

11. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY Removal

12. REMOVE FLOOR CARPET COVER CENTER RH Removal

13. REMOVE FLOOR CARPET COVER CENTER LH Removal

14. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LOWER CENTER Removal

15. SEPARATE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY






(a) Using a screwdriver, disconnect the cable end from the shift lever assembly.






(b) Pull out the stopper cap of the transmission control cable assembly.






(c) Turn the socket of the transmission control cable counterclockwise and remove the stopper cap.
NOTE: Do not push in the stopper cap.

16. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER






(a) Disconnect the pattern select switch connector, the shift lock control computer connector and the indicator light wire connector.






(b) Remove the 4 nuts and disconnect the shift lever assembly from the vehicle.
