Removal

3UR-FE FUEL: FUEL INJECTOR: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Removal

2. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH Removal

3. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL Removal

4. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

5. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE
(a) Discharge the fuel system pressure Service Precautions.
6. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
- w/ Navigation System:
After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY Removal

8. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly.
9. REMOVE NO. 3 ENGINE COVER

(a) Remove the No. 3 engine cover.
10. DISCONNECT NO. 2 FUEL TUBE

(a) Disconnect the No. 2 fuel tube from the fuel pressure regulator Service Precautions.
11. DISCONNECT NO. 1 FUEL TUBE

(a) RH Side:
Disconnect the No. 1 fuel tube from the fuel delivery pipe RH Service Precautions.

(b) LH Side:
Disconnect the No. 1 fuel tube from the fuel delivery pipe LH Service Precautions.
12. DISCONNECT NO. 1 FUEL HOSE

(a) Disconnect the fuel hose from the fuel delivery pipe LH Service Precautions.
13. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Disconnect the ventilation hose and No. 6 wire harness connector.

(b) Remove the 2 bolts and fuel delivery pipe RH.
NOTICE:
When removing the delivery pipe, hold the pipe by both ends and pull it straight upward.

(c) Remove the 2 delivery pipe spacers and 4 insulators from the cylinder head RH.
14. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Disconnect the No. 7 wire harness connector.

(b) Remove the 2 bolts and fuel delivery pipe LH.
NOTICE:
When removing the delivery pipe, hold the pipe by both ends and pull it straight upward.

(c) Remove the 2 delivery pipe spacers and 4 insulators from the cylinder head LH.
15. REMOVE FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the fuel injector from the fuel delivery pipe, and then disconnect the injector connector.

NOTICE:
For reinstallation, attach a tag or label to the injector shaft.

(b) Remove the O-ring from the fuel injector.

(d) Detach the 3 clamps and then remove the No. 7 wire harness from the delivery pipe LH.
