Installation

3UR-FE INTAKE / EXHAUST: EXHAUST PIPE: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 1) Installation

2. INSTALL AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 1) Installation

3. INSTALL HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 2) Installation

4. INSTALL NO. 2 HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 2) Installation

5. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
(a) Install a new gasket and the front exhaust pipe to the exhaust manifold RH with 3 new nuts.
Torque: 54 Nm (554 kgf-cm, 40 ft-lbf)
(b) Connect the heated oxygen sensor connector and connect the wire harness clamp bracket to the transmission with the bolt.
Torque: 29 Nm (296 kgf-cm, 21 ft-lbf)
(c) Connect the air fuel ratio sensor connector and connect the wire harness clamp to the bracket.
6. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
(a) Install a new gasket and the front No. 2 exhaust pipe to the exhaust manifold LH with 3 new nuts.
Torque: 54 Nm (554 kgf-cm, 40 ft-lbf)
(b) Connect the heated oxygen sensor connector and connect the wire harness clamp bracket to the transmission with the bolt.
Torque: 29 Nm (296 kgf-cm, 21 ft-lbf)
(c) Connect the air fuel ratio sensor connector and connect the wire harness clamp to the bracket.
7. INSTALL CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY






(a) Check the free length.
(1) Using a vernier caliper, measure the free length of the compression spring.
Minimum free length:
43 mm (1.69 in.)
If the free length is less than the minimum, replace the compression spring.
(b) Install 2 new gaskets to the front exhaust pipe and front No. 2 exhaust pipe.
(c) Install the center exhaust pipe to the 3 exhaust pipe supports, and then install the 4 bolts and 2 compression springs.
for compression type (RH side) - Torque: 43 Nm (438 kgf-cm, 32 ft-lbf)
except compression type (LH side) - Torque: 48 Nm (489 kgf-cm, 35 ft-lbf)
8. INSTALL EXHAUST PIPE DAMPER






(a) Install the exhaust pipe damper to the tailpipe with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 19 Nm (194 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf)
9. INSTALL TAILPIPE ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the tailpipe to the 2 exhaust pipe supports.
(b) Install a new gasket to the center exhaust pipe.
(c) Connect the tailpipe to the center exhaust pipe.






(d) Attach a new clamp to the tailpipe and center exhaust pipe. Then install the bolt to the clamp.
Torque: 32 Nm (326 kgf-cm, 24 ft-lbf)
HINT:
Install the clamp within the angle range shown in the illustration.
