DOOR / HATCH: POWER BACK DOOR DRIVE UNIT: REMOVAL
1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Removal
2. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION HINGE COVER RH Removal
3. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT HINGE COVER RH Removal
4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
- w/ Navigation System:
After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
5. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT
(a) w/ Automatic Folding-up Function:
(1) Remove the rear No. 2 seat assembly RH Removal.
HINT:
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
(b) w/ Manual Folding-up Function:
(1) Remove the rear No. 2 seat assembly RH Removal.
HINT:
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
6. REMOVE REAR STEP COVER Removal
7. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH Removal
8. REMOVE REAR FLOOR MAT REAR SUPPORT PLATE Removal
9. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK Removal
10. REMOVE REAR SEAT COVER CAP (for Rear No. 2 Seat with Manual Folding-up Function) Removal
11. REMOVE FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY RH Removal
12. REMOVE CENTER BACK DOOR GARNISH Disassembly
13. REMOVE BACK DOOR SIDE GARNISH RH Disassembly
14. REMOVE BACK DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER RH Disassembly
15. REMOVE REAR UPPER PILLAR GARNISH RH Removal
16. REMOVE POWER BACK DOOR UNIT ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the connector
(b) Remove the 4 bolts.
(c) Detach the 2 claws and remove the power back door unit.
