DTC C1AED - Rear Sensor Communication Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when there is an open or short circuit in the communication line between the rear sensors and the ECU, or when there is a malfunction in a rear sensor.

1. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Clear the DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.
(b) Check for DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.

2. CHECK PARKING ASSIST ECU





(a) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:






NG -- REPLACE PARKING ASSIST ECU
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RH - PARKING ASSIST ECU)





(a) Disconnect the O1 sensor connector.
(b) Disconnect the F37 ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RH - NO. 3 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RH)





(a) Disconnect the O1 and O2 sensor connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 3 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RH - NO. 3 ULTRASONIC SENSOR LH)





(a) Disconnect the O2 and O3 sensor connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 3 ULTRASONIC SENSOR LH - NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR LH)





(a) Disconnect the O3 and O4 sensor connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
7. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Clear the DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.
(b) Check for DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.

9. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Clear the DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.

10. REPLACE NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR LH
(a) Replace the No. 2 ultrasonic sensor LH with a normally functioning sensor Removal.

(a) Clear the DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.
(b) Check for DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.
