DTC B14F2 - Seat Heater Temperature Sensor Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

Outputs to the temperature sensor of the front seat cushion heater stop if one of the following occurs: 1) the temperature sensor is open or shorted; or 2) the temperature sensor is damaged and its output value does not change.

1. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (SEAT HEATER TEMPERATURE SENSOR)
(a) Check the Data List for proper functioning of the temperature sensor.

Front Left Seat A/C





OK:
The display is as specified in the normal condition.
NG -- INSPECT FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER LH
OK -- REPLACE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU
3. INSPECT FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER LH





(a) Disconnect the c43 cushion heater connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:






NG -- REPLACE FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER LH
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU - FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER LH)





(a) Disconnect the c39 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the c43 cushion heater connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU
5. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (SEAT HEATER TEMPERATURE SENSOR)
(a) Check the Data List for proper functioning of the temperature sensor.

Front Right Seat A/C





OK:
The display is as specified in the normal condition.
NG -- INSPECT FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER RH
OK -- REPLACE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU
6. INSPECT FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER RH





(a) Disconnect the c29 cushion heater connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:






NG -- REPLACE FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER RH
OK -- Continue to next step.
7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU - FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER RH)





(a) Disconnect the c25 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the c29 cushion heater connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU
