ECM self check fault - adaption and fault record memory corrupted (Driving Cycle A)
Possible causes by suggested order of priority:
- Possible ECM fault.
Possible ECM fault.
- ECM self check fault indicates that the onboard memory on the ECM has been corrupted.
- This can be caused by disconnecting the battery after the ignition has been turned off but before the ECM has finished updating the memory.
- To rectify this fault, first remedy any other outstanding faults on this vehicle and clear the fault codes.
- Turn OFF the ignition and wait thirty seconds. Turn the ignition ON again check the fault codes again.
- If the fault is still present the ECM is faulty.
