Water temperature sensor circuit high range fault (Driving Cycle A)

Possible causes by suggested order of priority:
- Connectors C636, C196.
- Circuit integrity C636/36 (RB) - C196/1 (RB).
- Circuit integrity C636/14 (G) - C196/2 (G).
- Temperature sensor.
- ECM.

Connectors C636, C196.
- Check for connector not correctly latched, backed out pins, damaged pins, corroded pins

Circuit integrity C636/36 (RB) - C196/1 (RB).
- Check for open circuit, short circuit to ground, supply or other circuit, damaged or unlatched connector, intermediate connectors or headers

Circuit integrity C636/14 (G) - C196/2 (G).
- Check for open circuit, short circuit to ground, supply or other circuit, damaged or unlatched connector, intermediate connectors or headers

Temperature sensor.
- Coolant temperature sensor resistance.
PASS VALUES: 50 to 5000 Ohms.

ECM.
