MAFS circuit performance out of range (Driving Cycle B)
Possible causes by suggested order of priority:
- Connectors C636, C149.
- Circuit integrity C636/36 (RB) - C149/3 (RB).
- Circuit integrity C636/16 (UG) - C149/2 (UG).
- Circuit integrity C575/1 (NLG) - C149/1 (NO).
- Sensor supply from C575/1 (NLG).
- Mass air flow sensor.
- ECM.
Connectors C636, C149.
- Check for connector not correctly latched, backed out pins, damaged pins, corroded pins
Circuit integrity C636/36 (RB) - C149/3 (RB).
- Check for open circuit, short circuit to ground, supply or other circuit, damaged or unlatched connector, intermediate connectors or headers
Circuit integrity C636/16 (UG) - C149/2 (UG).
- Check for open circuit, short circuit to ground, supply or other circuit, damaged or unlatched connector, intermediate connectors or headers
Circuit integrity C575/1 (NLG) - C149/1 (NO).
- Check for open circuit, short circuit to ground, supply or other circuit, damaged or unlatched connector, intermediate connectors or headers
Sensor supply from C575/1 (NLG).
- Check voltage 10.0 to 14.0 volts
Mass air flow sensor.
- Air flow meter output voltage on C149/2 (UG) w.r.t C149/3 (RB).
- Ensure ignition is ON (position 2).
- Voltage should increase with engine revs.
PASS VALUES:
With engine not running: less than 0.5 Volts.
With engine at idle: 1.0 to 2.0 Volts.
