Free Play

Inspection
1. Pump the pedal a few times (with the engine off) to eliminate any slack in the system.
2. To measure the pedal free play, gently press the pedal by hand until resistance is felt.
- Pedal free play: 0.16-0.28 inches (4-7 mm)

Adjustment




1. Loosen locknut D and turn rod C to adjust the free play.
2. Verify the pedal height and the stoplight operation.
3. Tighten locknut D.
