Rear Bumper Cover / Fascia: Service and Repair



Fascia Replacement - Rear Bumper

Removal Procedure

1. Open the rear compartment lid.
2. Lower the end gate.




3. Remove the rear compartment sill plate. Refer to Compartment Sill Plate Replacement - Rear (Compartment Sill Plate Replacement - Rear) in Body Rear End.




4. Remove the rear fascia upper fasteners.
5. Close the end gate.




6. Remove the rear wheelhouse retainers from the rear fascia.
7. Disconnect the rear fascia wiring harness from the body side harness.




8. Remove the center brace support bracket bolt.




9. Remove the rear fascia side attaching fasteners.




10. Remove the rear fascia from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Align the fascia to the body and install.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the rear fascia side attaching fasteners.

Tighten the fasteners to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

3. Connect the rear fascia wiring harness to the body side harness.




4. Install the rear wheelhouse retainers into the rear fascia.

Tighten the wheelhouse fasteners to 6 N.m (53 lb in).





5. Install the center brace support bracket bolt.
6. Lower the end gate.




7. Install the rear fascia upper fasteners.




8. Install the rear compartment sill plate. Refer to Compartment Sill Plate Replacement - Rear (Compartment Sill Plate Replacement - Rear) in Body Rear End.

Tighten the rear fascia fasteners to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

9. Close the end gate.
10. Close the rear compartment lid.
