Radio Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the center console shift lever bezel (Oldsmobile only).
2. Remove the lower closeout/insulator panel (GMC/Chevrolet only).
3. Remove the accessory trim plate.
4. Remove the 3 screws that retain the radio to the IP.
5. Partially remove the radio in order to gain access to the electrical connectors.
6. Disconnect the radio antenna cable.
7. Disconnect the electrical connectors to the radio.
8. Remove the radio from the IP.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Position the radio to the IP.
2. Connect the electrical connectors to the radio.
3. Connect the radio antenna cable to the radio.
4. Position the radio rear alignment locator into the IP substrate.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

5. Install the 3 screws that retain the radio to the IP.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

6. Install the accessory trim plate.
7. Install the lower closeout/insulator panel (GMC/Chevrolet only).
8. Install the center console shift lever bezel (Oldsmobile only).
