Radiator Hose Replacement - Outlet (L18)

Removal Procedure




1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System Draining and Filling Cooling System.
2. Loosen the outlet hose clamp (4) at the water pump.
3. Remove the outlet hose (3) from the water pump.
4. Raise and suitably support the vehicle with safety stands. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair in General Information.




5. Loosen the outlet hose clamp (2) at the radiator.
6. Remove the outlet hose (3) from the radiator.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the outlet hose (3) to the radiator.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Tighten the outlet hose clamp (2) at the radiator.

Tighten the outlet hose clamp to 5 Nm (44 lb in).

3. Lower the vehicle.




4. Install the outlet hose (3) to the water pump.
5. Tighten the outlet hose clamp (4) at the water pump.

Tighten the outlet hose clamp to 5 Nm (44 lb in).

6. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System Draining and Filling Cooling System.
