Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement




Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (LFX)

Removal Procedure

1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling Cooling System Draining and Filling.

2. Remove the mass air flow sensor. Refer to Mass Airflow Sensor with Intake Air Temperature Sensor Replacement Service and Repair.

3. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement.

Warning:

Warning:
Refer to Radiator Cap Removal Warning Service Precautions.


4. Ensure engine is below 50°C before removing the coolant pressure cap.





5. Remove the retaining hose clamps (1) back on the inlet hose (2) at both ends.

Note:
If inlet hose (2) is not being replaced leave retaining clamp's (1) attached to hose.

6. Remove the inlet hose (2) at both ends.

Installation Procedure





Warning:

Caution:

1. Install the inlet hose (2).

2. Secure the inlet hose (2) at both ends, by opening the retaining hose clamps (1) and sliding them over the hose (2).

3. Install the mass air flow meter. Refer to Mass Airflow Sensor with Intake Air Temperature Sensor Replacement Service and Repair.

4. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement.

5. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling Cooling System Draining and Filling.

6. Inspect cooling system for leaks.
