Case Cover and Gaskets Disassemble
1. Use a flat blade screwdriver in order to disconnect the rod and clip assembly (701) from the manual valve (406).
2. Remove the 13 mm (0.51 in) case cover bolts and the two number 40 Torx(tm) head bolts.
Important: Do not pry on the case cover during disassembly.
3. Remove the case cover assembly (401) from the case. A rubber mallet may be required in order to loosen the case cover from the case.
4. Set the case cover (401) aside on a clean work area with the case side of the cover facing upward.
Important: The 1-2 accumulator piston (421) and the pin (422) may have remained within the case cover (401).
5. Remove the 1-2 accumulator piston (421) and the pin (422).
6. Remove the 1-2 accumulator spring (419).
Important: Do not damage the case flanges when you remove the gaskets.
7. Remove the center gasket (415) from between the case and the case cover.
8. Remove the case cover gasket (416) from the case.
