Radiator Surge Tank Engine Hose Replacement (LSA)

Removal Procedure

1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LF1, LLT) (Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill))Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LSA) (Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill))Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LSA) (Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716))Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LF1, LLT) (Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716)).
2. Remove cross vehicle brace. Refer to Cross Vehicle Brace Replacement (Service and Repair)




3. Reposition the surge tank engine hose clamp (1) at surge tank using J 47622 - Hose Clamp Pliers.
4. Remove the surge tank engine hose (2) from the surge tank.
5. Remove the rear intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement - Rear (Intake Manifold Cover Replacement - Rear).




6. Reposition the surge tank engine hose clamp (1) at heater hose assembly using J 47622 - Hose Clamp Pliers.
7. Remove the surge tank engine hose nuts (2).
8. Remove the surge tank engine hose (3) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the surge tank engine hose (3) to the vehicle.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the surge tank engine hose (2) and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in)
3. Reposition the surge tank engine hose clamp (1) at heater hose assembly using J 47622 - Hose Clamp Pliers.
4. Install the rear intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement - Rear (Intake Manifold Cover Replacement - Rear).




5. Install the surge tank engine hose (2) to the surge tank.
6. Reposition the surge tank engine hose clamp (1) at surge tank using J 47622 - Hose Clamp Pliers.
7. Install cross vehicle brace. Refer to Cross Vehicle Brace Replacement (Service and Repair)
8. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LF1, LLT) (Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill))Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LSA) (Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill))Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LSA) (Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716))Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LF1, LLT) (Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716)).
