Power Steering Fluid Reservoir: Service and Repair




Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Replacement (LH2) (4.6L)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement (Front Air Deflector Replacement).
3. Place a drain pan under the vehicle.




4. Disconnect the power steering cooler hose from the power steering reservoir.




5. Disconnect the power steering reservoir outlet hose from the power steering reservoir.




6. Remove the power steering reservoir retaining nuts.
7. Remove the power steering reservoir from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the power steering reservoir to the vehicle.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the power steering reservoir retaining nuts and tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb in).




3. Connect the power steering reservoir outlet hose to the power steering reservoir.




4. Connect the power steering cooler hose to the power steering reservoir.
5. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
6. Install the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (Service and Repair).
7. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding (Service and Repair).
8. Install the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement (Front Air Deflector Replacement).
