Chart 5 Improper Air Delivery

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION

The Body Control Module (BCM) will direct the blended air in one of several air delivery modes. While the side window outlets receive air flow during all modes of operation, the other outlets are directed air by commanding the programmer to energized specific vacuum valves feeding the appropriate combination of mode valve actuators. The BCM determines the proper air delivery mode based upon the current program number and control panel setting.

TEST DESCRIPTION

Numbers below refer to circled numbers on the diagnostic chart.

1. Verifies commanded valve position so actual air delivery can be checked.

2. Checks to see if fault is due to vacuum source or distribution of vacuum.

3. Checks to see if fault is due to circuit leaks, stuck valves, or faulty programmer.
