Test K: DTC 51, 52, or 71

Diagnosis K: DTC 51, DTC 52, Or DTC 71 Set:

OPERATION:
DTC 51: The DERM detects SIR system deployment. The DERM senses that both the arming sensor and at least one discriminating sensor are closed simultaneously. NOTE: A history DTC 51 cannot be cleared. It becomes a permanent part of the DERM's memory.

DTC 52: The DERM's crash data memory is full.

DTC 71: DERM Internal fault.

POSSIBLE CAUSES:
DTC 51: Actual SIR system deployment due to collision or a non-collision situation causing the DERM to incorrectly store crash data.

DTC 52: Insufficient room in crash data memory caused by actual storage.

DTC 71: DERM has detected circuitry fault within module.
