Radiator: Service and Repair
Warning: Danger of scalding!
Only perform this work after engine has cooled down.
Drain coolant.
Remove fan cowl, refer to:
Note: When removing the fan cowl, note the engine variant.
Open drain plug.
Drain off and catch coolant.
Recycling
Dispose of drained coolant.
Observe country-specific waste-disposal regulations.
If necessary, disconnect plug connection at level sensor.
Air conditioning
Disconnect plug connection on temperature switch.
Remove upper coolant hose.
Coolant hoses with quick-release couplings
Lift out spring ( 1 ).
Disconnect water hose ( 2 ).
Release left and right screws ( 3 ) on radiator.
Remove both brackets ( 4 ).
Installation:
Follow instructions for working on cooling system, refer to Cooling System, Service and Repair.
Remove lower coolant hose.

Remove connector ( 1 ).
Lift out spring ( 2 ).
Disconnect water hose ( 3 ).
Installation:
Follow instructions for working on cooling system.
Lift radiator upwards to remove.
Installation:
Place radiator on supports.

Lift radiator ( 1 ) up and out.

Place radiator on supports.
Installation:
Note rubber mounts on left and right sides.
Top up coolant.
Vent cooling system and check for leaks.
