Trouble Code 18 (Kick-Down Switch)

This defect code is stored when the kick-down signal does not agree with the signal of the accelerator pedal position while driving.
Substitute Program
- Control unit suppresses kick-down shifts.
Possible cause
Wire at Electronic Transmission Control (EGS) control unit Pin 18 has short to ground or switch is defective or only the push button alone was pressed.
Troubleshooting
Perform status monitoring. Compare displayed kick-down switch with actual situation.
