ATF Pipes, 6-Cylinder
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Oil Collecting and Extracting Device (V.A.G 1782)
• Plug Set, Engine (VAS 6122)
Removing
• Rules for cleanliness when working on the DSG transmission. Refer to => [ Clean Working Conditions ] Clean Working Conditions.
• Transmission removed. Refer to => [ Transmission, Removing, 2.0L TFSI ] Transmission, Removing, 2.0L TFSI, => [ Transmission, Removing, 3.2L FSI ] Transmission, Removing, 3.2L FSI, => [ Transmission, 2.0L TDI, Removing ] Transmission, 2.0L TDI, Removing, => [ Transmission, 3.0L TDI, Removing ] Transmission, 3.0L TDI, Removing.
- Place Oil Collecting and Extracting Device (V.A.G 1782) at the separating joint.
- Remove union nuts - arrows -.
- Seal any open lines and connections with a clean plug from the Engine Plug Set (VAS 6122).
- Remove ATF pipe.
Installing
Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:
• Tightening specifications. Refer to => [ ATF Cooler, ATF Pipes and ATF Filter Assembly Overview ] 0B5A Automatic Transmission.
• Replace O-rings.
CAUTION!
There is a risk of damaging the transmission.
• When disassembling, remove all the plugs from the Engine Plug Set (VAS 6122) on the ATF pipes and on the transmission.
• The ATF cooling function will not work and the transmission will be damaged if the plugs are forgotten.
- First insert the ATF lines into the transmission and radiator by hand as far as the stop and then bolt them on.
- Check the ATF level after installing the transmission. Refer to => [ ATF, Checking Level and Correcting ] Procedures.
