Reverse Gear Clutch
Removing
• General repair instructions, refer to => [ Repair Information ] Repair Information.
• Automatic transmission clean working conditions, refer to => [ Clean Working Conditions ] Clean Working Conditions.
• All components must be cleaned thoroughly before inserting.
• Transmission removed and secured to assembly stand => [ Securing Transmission in Vertical
Position ] Transmission, Securing in Engine/Transmission Holder.
- Remove the input shaft. Refer to => [ Input Shaft ] Input Shaft.
- Remove reverse gear clutch with corrugated spring washer - 1 to 5 - from the transmission.
- Measure adjusting discs - 5 - above and adjusting disc - 2 - below and note the values.
• Noting of installed, old adjusting discs - 5 - above and - 2 - below serves to check and compare the newly determined adjusting discs.
Installing
• All components must be cleaned thoroughly before inserting.
- Determine lower adjustment disc - 2 - and upper adjustment disc - 5 -. Refer to => [ Reverse Gear Clutch, Setting ] Reverse Gear Clutch.
- Insert corrugated spring - 1 - through the guides - B -.
- Insert determined lower adjustment disc - 2 - (thickness E1) through the guides - B -.
- Alternating, first insert a lining disc - 3 - and then an outer disc - 4 - through the guides - B -.
- Insert determined upper adjustment disc - 5 - (thickness E2) through the guides - B -.
- Adjust the clutch discs of the reverse clutch, for example, with a straight-edge.
• The grooves must stand exactly in row.
- Install input shaft. Refer to => [ Input Shaft ] Input Shaft.
