Wiper Blade: Service and Repair

Windshield Wiper Blades, Replacing

Observe notes on contact corrosion. Refer to => [ Contact Corrosion ] Service Precautions.

Removing

• The hood must be closed if the windshield wiper will run during the procedure. Otherwise, the voltage supply to the wiper motors will be interrupted.

- Switch ignition on for at least 10 seconds.

- Switch the ignition off and activate the one-touch wiping. The wiper blades run into the service position.

- Raise the wiper arm off the windshield.

- Compress clip - arrows 1 -.





- Push wiper blade off wiper arm - arrow 2 -.

- Remove wiper blade.

Installing

CAUTION!
There is a risk of damaging the body.

• The driver and passenger side wiper blades are different lengths.

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Guide the wiper blade - 2 - parallel into the wiper arm - 1 - - arrow -. Make sure wiper arm rest completely in guide.





- Switch ignition on and activate one-touch wiping, the wipers then leave the service position.
