Oil Level in Front Final Drive, Checking

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Oil Collecting and Extracting Device (V.A.G 1782)

Procedure

- Place the Oil Collecting and Extracting Device (V.A.G 1782) underneath.

- Remove the oil filler plug - 1 -.





• Oil level is correct when the front final drive is filled up to lower edge of oil filler hole.

- Add axle oil if necessary.

- Install the oil filler plug - 1 - with a new seal.
