Engine Compartment Trim

Removing

- Carefully remove the engine cover - 2 -. Do not jerk or pull to one side.





Remove the power steering reservoir cap on the left engine compartment trim.

• A second technician must hold the lid securely when the bottom of the rear lid gas strut - 3 - is disengaged.





- Lift the retaining spring - 2 - with a small screwdriver - 1 - - arrow - and remove the bottom of the gas-filled strut from the ball stud.

- Remove the left - 1 - and right - 3 - engine compartment trim by loosening the quick-release fasteners.





Installing

- Carefully press the engine cover - 2 - back into the retainer.

- Install the engine compartment trim - 1 - and - 3 -.

- Secure the gas-filled strut with the fastener.
