Removing
• If there are small impressions on the fins. Refer to => [ Coolers and Condensers, Installing ] Coolers and Condensers, Installing.
CAUTION!
Risk of scalding due to hot steam and hot coolant.
• When the engine is warm the cooling system is under pressure.
• Reduce pressure by covering coolant reservoir cap with a cloth and carefully opening.
- Open coolant reservoir cap.
- Remove the front vehicle underbody cover - 1 -.
- Remove front bumper cover.
- Remove the luggage compartment tray.
- Remove the bolts - arrows - and the front air duct.
- Place the Drip Tray for Workshop Crane (VAS 6208) under the separating point.
- Remove coolant hoses - 1 - and - 2 - from the radiator and drain the coolant.
- Remove the coolant hose from the radiator - arrow -.
- Remove the bolts - 1 - on the radiator bracket.
• Ignore - 2 -.
- Remove the bolts - 1 - on the radiator bracket.
- Tilt the radiator forward - arrow B - and remove it toward the left side - arrow A -.
- Remove the bolts - arrows - and remove the rear air duct from the radiator.
Installing
• Tightening specifications. Refer to => [ Center Radiator Assembly Overview ] Center Radiator Assembly Overview.
Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:
• Secure all hose connections with hose clamps appropriate for the model.
• Complete coolant must be replaced if the radiator was replaced.
- Install the luggage compartment tray.
- Install front bumper.
- Install the front vehicle underbody cover.
- Fill with coolant => [ Filling ] Procedures.
