ATF Auxiliary Cooler

ATF Auxiliary Cooler

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Oil Collecting and Extracting Device (V.A.G 1782 )

Removing

- Remove the right front wheel housing liner.

- Remove the charge air cooler if equipped.

- Remove the bolts - arrows A - and - arrows B -.





- Remove bolts - arrows -.





- Remove the ATF line - 1 - from the ATF auxiliary cooler, then remove the ATF line - 2 -.

- Remove the ATF auxiliary cooler.

Installing

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

- Attach the ATF line - 2 - all the way into the ATF auxiliary cooler then install the ATF line - 1 - all the way.

- Install the bolt - arrow - hand-tight.

- Install the ATF auxiliary cooler with the pin - arrow C - on top of the charge air cooler bracket.





- Tighten the bolts:

A M6 x 17 bolt - 10 Nm
B M6 x 10 bolt - 5 Nm

- Install the charge air cooler.

- Install the front wheel housing liner.

- Check and correct ATF level in planetary gearing. Refer to => [ ATF Level In Planetary Gearing, Checking and Correcting ] ATF Level In Planetary Gearing, Checking and Correcting.
