Heater Core Case: Service and Repair

Heater/Evaporator Box, Removing/Installing
- Remove water box cover under hood.
- Remove windshield wiper assembly.
- Remove center console. Service and Repair
- Remove cap from engine coolant over flow bottle.



- Remove heater retaining band. (arrow 1)
- Clamp off heater hoses to heater core and remove. (arrows)
- Remove all retainers between body and heater.

3. Heater Box:

- Remove heater box.
- Assembly/Disassembly. Service and Repair

Note: Before installing heater box, always replace self-adhesive gasket.

When connecting water hoses, the lower connection on heater core is connected to the hose going to the water pump.
