Cylinder Head Cover Removal

Front

1. Remove the intake manifold Intake Manifold Removal/Installation.

2. Remove the three ignition coils from the front cylinder head Service and Repair.

3. Disconnect the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve connector (A), the front secondary heated oxygen sensor (secondary HO2S) connector (B), the front air fuel ratio (A/F) sensor connector (C), and the harness clamp (D) securing the harness holder, and remove the dipstick (E).





4. Remove the bolt (F) securing the harness holder.

5. Remove the front cylinder head cover.






Rear

1. Remove the intake manifold Intake Manifold Removal/Installation.

2. Remove the three ignition coils from the rear cylinder head Service and Repair.

3. Remove the drive belt Service and Repair.

4. Remove the power steering (P/S) pump and the P/S hose bracket with its hoses connected Cylinder Head Removal.

5. Remove the harness holder mounting bolts (A) and the engine ground cable (B).





6. Disconnect the three injector connectors (C) and the two harness clamps (D).

7. Remove the harness clamp (E) and disconnect the breather hose (F).

8. Remove the harness (G) from the upper cover.

9. Remove the engine hanger bracket (H).

10. Remove the harness holder mounting bolt (A) and disconnect the knock sensor connector (B) and the camshaft position (CMP) sensor connector (C).






11. Remove the rear cylinder head cover.
