VSA System Symptom Troubleshooting - VSA OFF switch does not work (VSA cannot be turned OFF)
VSA OFF switch does not work (VSA cannot be turned OFF)
NOTE: If the low tire pressure indicator turns ON, the VSA cannot be turned OFF. Check the tire pressure first.
1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.
2. Disconnect the multi switch 12P connector Testing and Inspection.
3. Check the VSA OFF switch Testing and Inspection.
Is the VSA OFF switch OK?
YES -
Go to step 4.
NO -
Replace the multi switch (with built-in VSA OFF switch) Testing and Inspection.�
4. Disconnect gauge control module connector A (32P) Service and Repair.
5. Check for continuity between multi switch 12P connector terminal No. 7 and body ground.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Repair a short to body ground between the gauge control module and the multi switch (with built-in VSA OFF switch).�
NO -
Substitute a known-good gauge control module, then go to step 1 and recheck. If it is OK, replace the original gauge control module Service and Repair.�
