SUBJECT: VEHICLE DATA REQUIREMENTS - CLAIM ENTRY
Effective immediately all warranty claim input and/or any warranty inquiries must be identified by vehicle year, model and chassis number (last eight fields).
With the introduction of the GVS model and impending further model variation, it is imperative that the designation be correctly identified in your communications so that we may properly process and pay warranty claims.
A warranty screen example is as follows:
YEAR: 88 MODEL: GVS CHASSIS: JK ------
To assist in determining the required designations, the following chart should be utilized.
VEHICLE ID NUMBER (Seventeen (17) digit number)
Note:* 8th digit identification for information only.
Failure to provide the correct vehicle identification will result in the rejection of warranty claims; thus, delaying the processing system.
