Flex Plate: Service and Repair

Flexplate

Removing






- Remove the transmission.

- Remove the bolts (1) and the spacer plate (2).

- Remove the flexplate (3).

Installing






- Position the flexplate (3) onto the crankshaft.

- Install the spacer (2) and the bolts (1) hand tight.

- Tighten the flexplate retaining bolts (1) to 95 Nm (70 ft. lbs.) in a criss-cross pattern.

- Install the transmission.
