Update Programming, MIL ON, P0128 Coolant temperature below thermostat regulating temperature, or long crank times
Update programming of the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with improved software to correct the DTC P0128 or long crank times.
Improved PCM software has been introduced in production as of January 27, 2011.
Update programming of the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with new software.
DIAGNOSIS
Using a StarMOBILE with ElsaWeb and the appropriate Diagnostic Procedures, verify all engine systems are functioning as designed. If DTC's are present, record them on the repair order and repair as necessary before proceeding with this bulletin. If the customer describes the Symptom/Condition, or it can be reproduced, perform the Repair Procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE

If this flash process is interrupted / aborted, the flash should be restarted.
1. Reprogram the Powertrain Control Module using the StarMOBILE with the latest software.
2. After PCM reprogramming, the following must be performed:
^ Clear any DTC's that may have been set in other modules due to reprogramming.
^ Clear the Variable Line Pressure (VLP) Counters, found in the Misc. Function menu for the PCM / ECU. Perform the Quick Learn function, found in the Misc. Function menu for the PCM / ECU.
