Upper and Lower Intake Manifold Inspection







• Graphic shows non-repairable damage to the lower intake manifold (1) due to crossthreading of an upper intake manifold attaching bolt (2).

Check both the upper and lower intake manifolds for:

• Damage and cracks

• Gasket surface damage or warpage

Check the lower intake manifold for:

• Damaged fuel injector ports

If either the upper or lower manifold exhibits any damaged or warped conditions, replace the manifold.
