Radiator Petcock

• It is not necessary to remove the petcock during a routine coolant drain.

Removing






- Drain the cooling system. Refer to => [ Cooling System Draining and Filling ] Cooling System Draining and Filling.

- Using a screwdriver, open the petcock (2) by turning it counterclockwise until it stops.

- Pull the petcock from the radiator tank (1).

Installing






- Align the petcock (2) stem to the radiator tank opening.

- Push the petcock into the radiator tank (1) opening.


Do not overtighten. The head of the petcock may break off.

- Using a screwdriver, tighten the petcock (2) by turning clockwise until it stops.

- Fill the cooling system. Refer to => [ Cooling System Draining and Filling ] Cooling System Draining and Filling.
