Radiator Support: Service and Repair






Radiator Crossmember

Removing

- Release the hood latch and open the hood.

- Remove the grille push pin (2).






- Remove the grille bolts (3).

- Remove the bolts (1) attaching hood latch to crossmember and position latch out of the way.






- Remove the bolts (2) attaching the braces to the crossmember.

- Unclip the cable (2) from the hood latch (1).






- Remove all the bolts (1) attaching the crossmember (2) to the body.






- Lift the crossmember (2) upward and away from the vehicle.

- Unclip the hood cable from upper radiator crossmember.

- Remove the crossmember (2) from vehicle.

Installing

- Install the hood latch cable to the crossmember.

- Place radiator crossmember (2) into position on the vehicle, Align with the paint breaks around the bolt heads.






- Install the bolts (1) attaching the crossmember to the body. Tighten the bolts to 19 Nm (14 ft lbs).

- Install the hood latch cable (2) to the hood latch (1).






- Install the hood latch, Align with the paint breaks around the bolt heads. Tighten the bolts (1) to 13.5 Nm (10 ft lbs).






- Install the two crossmember brace bolts (2). Tighten the bolts to 19 Nm (14 ft lbs).






- Install the grille push pins (2) and install bolts (3).

- Verify hood latch operation and hood alignment.
