Shift Solenoid: Service and Repair

Solenoid Valve and Sensor Wiring Harness

Removing

- Draining ATF => [ ATF, Draining ] ATF, Draining.

- Remove oil pan => [ Automatic Transmission Fluid Pan ] Service and Repair.

- Remove oil strainer => [ Oil Strainer ] Service and Repair.

- Remove valve body => [ Valve Body, Removing ] Valve Body.

- Disconnect connector from the transmission.

- 1 - transmission sensor terminal

- 2 - connector for solenoid valves





- Disconnect connector housing from transmission.

- Disconnect connector housing together with wiring harness outward from transmission housing.

Installing

- Replace sealing ring on connector housing.

- Carefully guide wiring harness from outside into the transmission.

- Coat connector housing sealing ring with ATF and then press connector housing all the way into transmission.

- Connect connector housing; tightening specification => [ Valve Body Tightening Specifications ] Valve Body Tightening Specifications - Gears, Hydraulic Controls.

- Install valve body => [ Valve Body, Installing ] Valve Body.

- Remove oil strainer => [ Oil Strainer ] Service and Repair.

- Install oil pan => [ Automatic Transmission Fluid Pan ] Service and Repair.

- Add ATF, check ATF level and top off => [ ATF Level, Checking ] Testing and Inspection.
