Intake Manifold Assembly Overview
Check vacuum reservoir in intake manifold for leaks.
1 - 8 Nm
2 - Guide tube
- For oil dipstick
3 - 6 Nm
4 - Bracket
- For Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) valve N316
5 - Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) valve N316
6 - Seal
- Replace
7 - Vacuum actuator
- For intake manifold flaps
- Make sure intake manifold flaps are in position when installing: Intake manifold flaps must be opened
- Checking vacuum actuator for intake manifold flaps.
8 - Intake manifold
- Checking with vacuum reservoir installed.
- With intake manifold flaps
9 - From evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge regulator valve N80
10 - From Leak Detection Pump (LDP) V144
11 - 20 Nm
12 - To suction jet pump
- Suction jet pump assembly overview.
13 - Grommet
- Replace if damaged
14 - To Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) valve N316
15 - Intake manifold support
16 - Throttle valve control module J338
- With throttle drive (for Electronic Power Control (EPC)) G186, throttle drive angle sensor 1 (for Electronic Power Control (EPC)) G187 and throttle drive angle sensor 2 (for Electronic Power Control (EPC)) G188
- When replacing, adapt the engine control module to the throttle valve control module ; "Guided Functions".
17 - 7 Nm
18 - Gasket
- Replace
- Ensure it is correctly seated in intake manifold
19 - Connection
- For crankcase ventilation
- With Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) heating element N79
- From cylinder head cover
20 - Fuel rail
- For cylinders 2, 4 and 6
- Tighten uniformly, starting from inside and working toward outside
- Fuel rail with high pressure pump and injectors, through 07.07 assembly overview.
- Fuel rail with high pressure pump and injectors from 08.07 assembly overview.
21 - 30 Nm + 90 degrees ( 1/4 turn) additional turn
- Replace
- Tighten fuel rail uniformly, starting from inside and working toward outside
