Differential Lock: Testing and Inspection

Haldex clutch (vehicles with automatic transmission), checking function
^ Dynamometer present
^ Parking brake released completely - parking brake indicator lights off
- Switch dynamometer off and ensure rollers turn freely.
- Slowly drive front wheels onto rollers.
- Take foot off brake pedal and slowly press accelerator slightly.

Even at slightly elevated speeds, vehicle must try to drive off rollers. The Haldex clutch function then is OK.

Increase speed, vehicle can then be pressed off the rollers. Use caution when handling.
