Electrically Folding Exterior Mirror Only

A wiring harness may interfere with the proper installation of the mirror cover to the mirror housing, possibly leaving a small gap.

While driving, air can enter the gap causing a whistling noise.

- Applying an adhesive backed bumper, Part No: ZVW269008, will prevent the wire harness from interfering with the proper installation of the mirror housing cover. See ElsaWeb - Repair Manual, BODY, Body Exterior, 66 Exterior equipment, Exterior rearview mirror for housing disassembly.

- Insert adhesive backed bumper, Part No: ZVW269008, on the inner aluminum casting, -arrow-.

Tip: This retains the wiring harness away from the white plastic clip.
