Selector lever cable, checking 09G, 6 Speed A/T

Short description
In order to be able to check selector lever cable for ease of movement, it must be removed from transmission and the removed end must be laid down where it will not touch anything.

Then the selector lever can be moved and finally the cable can be reinstalled.

After that, selector lever cable must be adjusted. Do not grease connection of cable!
- Place selector lever in position P.





- Pry off cable - 1 - from selector shaft lever - 3 - using an open-end wrench - 2 -.
- Remove cable from bracket by pressing the catches - arrows - together.
- Move selector lever from P to S and back to P several times.
^ Selector lever must move without resistance when doing this.
- Reinstall cable.
- Adjust cable!
