Special tools, workshop equipment and auxiliary items required
- VAG 1331 Torque wrench (or 5-50 Nm equivalent)
- VAS 6208 Drip tray for shop crane VAS 6100 (or equivalent)
- 3093 Hose clamps (> 40 mm)
- Refrigerant recycling/recovery unit Kent-Moore ACR4 (or UL approved equivalent - VAS 6007A illustrated for reference only).
NOTE:
- Before carrying out any work on the A/C refrigerant system, refer to all CAUTIONS and WARNINGS in A/C refrigerant system safety measures.
- Evacuate refrigerant circuit using refrigerant recycling/recovery unit Kent-Moore ACR4 (or UL approved equivalent).
- O-rings used on R-134a systems may be red, green, violet or black.
- Always plug open refrigerant line connections to prevent dirt and moisture contamination.
