Fluid Pan: Service and Repair

Oil pan, removing and installing, 01V, 5 SPD. A/T (FWD)

Special tools and equipment

VAG 1306 Drip tray:

VAG 1331 Torque wrench:

Removing





^ Remove noise insulation tray -arrows-.
^ Place drip tray VAG 1306 underneath.





^ Remove drain plug -arrow 1-.
^ Drain ATF
^ Unscrew bolts on oil pan in diagonal sequence and remove oil pan.

Installing
Install in reverse order but note following:
The oil drain plug and seal must be replaced.
^ Clean all four magnets in the recesses of the oil pan. Ensure magnets are seated correctly in the oil pan.
^ Install oil pan with new gasket.
^ Tighten oil pan bolts in several stages and in diagonal sequence.
^ Tighten new drain plug.
^ Fill with ATF, then check ATF level and top off.
