Steering Column Cover: Service and Repair

Steering Column Lower Trim, Removing





- Pry off covers -1- and remove screws -2-.
- Remove switch mount -3- from bracket.





- Release cover -1- from clips -2- and from instrument panel.
- Loosen right side cover -1- mounting clips -2- and remove cover from instrument panel.
- Remove screws -3-.





- Turn knob -1- for light switch to "0" position.
- Push knob in (arrow -A-) and turn to right (arrow -B-).
- Pull switch out of instrument panel (arrow -C-) and disconnect wiring connectors.
- Unclip switch -2- for instrument illumination control and disconnect wiring connector.





- Remove screw under cap (arrow) of glove box -1-.





- Remove screws -1-.
- Unclip top of trim -2- and remove from instrument panel.
- Remove screws -3-.
- Remove kneebar -4-.
